Atomic Wallet has won a case against a few plaintiffs who claimed that it was Atomic Wallet’s mistake that its wallet got hacked for over $100 million.
A few US residents, including a plaintiff from Colorado, had filed a case against Atomic Wallet claiming compensation worth $100 million, the entire amount of the hack.
According to the plaintiffs, since the company’s ads were displayed in the US on X.com, they were subject to US jurisdiction.
In its response, Atomic Wallet claimed it had no ties with any US or even a Colorado entity, and hence, the court did not have any legal authority over the company.
The Atomic Wallet is based in Estonia, a country in far northeastern Europe.
