Amid allegations of an account freeze at Israel’s request, Binance denied freezing any account that belongs to the Palestinian government.
Earlier rumors suggested that Binance had frozen the Palestinian government's accounts in the West Bank.
CEO Richard Teng clarified that Binance only seized accounts that belonged to criminals and those involved in illegal activities.
The exchange’s CEO also clarified that the freeze and crypto seizure of around 90 accounts resulted from compliance with the local regulatory laws.
Several times, individuals who have nothing to do with criminal activity get caught and must go through a tedious process to recover funds.
