Crypto bots are useful for several purposes, and not all of them are helpful.
There is a steady increase in the number of bots on platforms like Telegram, Discord, Reddit and Twitter.
Trading bots can scam users by convincing them to use a particular (scam) platform for their trades.
They can also present unsolicited phishing links, designed to steal crypto once clicked.
Some of the biggest scam bots include iEarn Bot, BitConnect and Mirror Trading International.
In general, users should avoid interacting with shady DMs, emails or texts.
