How to Move Bitcoin to a New Wallet?

Krutika Adani

Moving Bitcoin to a new wallet is easy, but investors should be wary of small mistakes.

Users should first find the deposit/receive button and select it in their new wallet, which will then show the destination BTC address.

To move Bitcoin, users should next copy the destination wallet address and make sure that the selected blockchain is Bitcoin.

Users can also copy L2 addresses like those for the Lightning Network.

Now, they should click on the send/transfer button in their old wallet and paste the destination wallet address.

After confirming the addresses, users can finalize the process and proceed to pay for the network fee by signing the transaction.
