The latest upgrade in the XRP blockchain has resolved an issue in full history servers, which were earlier unable to show the full blockchain history due to a limit on page sizing.
The full history nodes (FH nodes) could not serve the full blockchain history because there was a limit in SQLite that restricted the page size while displaying the full history.
Full history server nodes must upgrade to Rippled version 2.2.3 while validators can continue with their 2.2.2 client. A client here refers to the node software.
Another interesting upgrade in XRPL will be the addition of smart contracts using a sidechain. In its current state, XRPL does not support smart chain functionality.
