How much will Bitcoin be worth next year?
The most optimistic BTC investor, trader or enthusiast would probably mention a price range around $100,000 or thereabout.
What about two years from now? or five? or even ten?
While it is significantly difficult for any human to predict the ten-year price of Bitcoin (or any cryptocurrency, really), AI may have a few interesting ideas.
Let's see what AI chatbot, ChatGPT thinks Bitcoin will be worth in the next one, five and ten years.
The Bitcoin Therapist, a BTC analyst and crypto commentator, recently performed an experiment.
He asked ChatGPT to predict the price of BTC in 2024, 2028, 2032 and 2050, and the results were pretty interesting.
For example, ChatGPT mentioned that for 2024, BTC is expected to continue its growth, and even enter the $50,000 – $150,000 range "or even higher" by 2024.
All of this is from an optimistic standpoint, assuming institutional and mainstream adoption continues.
From a conservative standpoint, however, ChatGPT says that Bitcoin may range between $20,000 to $50,000 from now until next year.
According to ChatGPT, Bitcoin's price prediction for 2028 isn't much different from 2024's
While the prediction for 2024 is $50,000 – $150,000, ChatGPT says that 2028's prediction is a range from $20,000 – $150,000.
ChatGPT cites the reason for such a low prediction as "regulatory challenges" or "technological limitations". However, this lack of price upside indicates that ChatGPT may be factoring in a very serious dip as the next cycle's bear market sets in.
ChatGPT's prediction for BTC in 2032 is pretty impressive and may be one of the most pivotal predictions on BTC ever.
ChatGPT says that BTC's price may range anywhere between $100,000 to a whopping $1 million in the next ten years, from an optimistic perspective.
This would put BTC's market cap miles above several stocks, metals, bonds and other traditional financial assets, and is very much the future we all want to see.
From a conservative perspective, however, ChatGPT still puts BTC anywhere between $20,000 and $200,000 in the next ten years.
For perspective, 2050 is 27 years from now.
ChatGPT says that BTC will be worth anywhere between $100,000 to a whopping $5 million from an optimistic perspective!
Is this crazy?
Maybe a little bit. However, we have seen BTC perform even crazier feats of bullishness in the past.
After all, BTC is only 14 years old, and moved from $0.00099 in 2009, to a whopping $69,000 in 2021.
This represents an increase of about 6.96 billion per cent. Who knows, maybe hitting $5 million per coin in 27 years may not be so crazy after all.
While the human mind can analyze data and come to some pretty impressive conclusions, one has to admit that it is pretty limited.
AI on the other hand can take in, compare and analyze several sets of data in a way that we simply can't.
For example, we tried asking Google Bard for predictions, and received this:
Bard believes that BTC will range:
Microsoft's Bing AI, on the other hand, thinks BTC may hit:
Bitcoin is holding its ground and consolidating above the $24,856 resistance.
Despite this, the RSI on the daily chart is still severely oversold.
Bitcoin is trading under its 200-day moving average (red line at $27,442) and is at risk of further underside movement as long as it remains under.
If the bulls are unable to initiate a breakout above this moving average, BTC continues to be at risk of declining further down to the $20,000 zone.
However, the cryptocurrency is still bullish from a long-term perspective and is now testing its long-term ascending trendline.
A break below this trendline would send BTC into a steep decline and must be avoided.
