Significantly, the digital football collection will be a part of Polygon's Virtual NFT Art Gallery. It will function as "Discover the world" on the blockchain— where users can discover initiatives and activities between the competing teams. Similarly, you can collect your favorite team's digital collectibles and share them on social media.

The announcement says the virtual NFT Art gallery is ready for users to access. There are expectations that all football enthusiasts and fans of the world cup would find the innovation exciting.

Football Stars Jumping on NFT Bandwagon

At this juncture, it is expedient to identify some projects in blockchain technology alongside football as a sporting activity.

The first project worthy of mention is Cristiano Ronaldo partnering with Binance. The prominent footballer partnered with Binance to introduce the first NFT collection. The project is expected to boost his fandom in the crypto industry and increase patronage for the Binance exchange.
