London, United Kingdom – The House of Lords in London hosted a groundbreaking event featuring 24 speakers, all of whom were founders, creators, and stakeholders in the web3, crypto and blockchain space. Led by Baroness Manzila Uddin, a prominent figure in the space, the event turned out to be an enlightening and engaging discussion about the future of the industry.
The event featured some of the most influential and innovative leaders in the web3, crypto and blockchain industry, who shared their insights, experiences, and provided a glimpse into the future of the industry. Attendees had the opportunity to learn from some of the best minds in the industry and network with other like-minded individuals and organizations.
The event took place on 26, Jan, 2023 at the House of Lords in London with an opening address from Baroness Uddin. This was followed by multiple speaker taking the stage to express their thoughts and aspirations about the space. The speakers at the event were as follows:
Professor Yu XIONG, is an Associate Vice President, at the University of Surrey. He is also the Chair Professor of Business Analytics and a Web 3.0 and Blockchain Scientist.
Kumardev Chatterjee, a globally known serial tech innovator, founder, entrepreneurial industry leader, investor and author, with more than 25 years experience with Fortune 500s across Europe.
Nidaa Sabbagh, an author, Consultant, Negotiator, Business Strategist. Nidaa is also a well-published journalist, political writer for both the press and TV media, with 3 books on conflict between the Middle East and the West, she is a fully respected political analyst. Nidaa is a member of many significant NGOs, with a particularly strong reputation in human rights.
Dr Ahmed Anany, is a former Egyptian political figure and advisor to Egypt’s prime minister on digitalisation, entrepreneur and media personality with extensive expertise in GameFi, DeFi and blockchain economy.
Dr Christina Yan Zhang, CEO of The Metaverse Institute, PhD in Digital Twin and Metaverse, Pragmatic Futurist, Web3 Entrepreneur, Journalist, UN SDGs activist.
Abbas Kazmi, a multi award winning serial entrepreneur and investor recognised by Forbes 30 Under 30, Maserati 100. United Nations Alliance of Civilizations Fellow and World Economic Forum Global Shaper. Co-founding Advisory Board Member APPG for the Metaverse and Web 3.0, and the UAE government.
Amanda McKenna and Abhishek Rajpurohit were next in line. Abhishek is a founding partner at Voice of Crypto and the co founder at AcknoLedger, while Amanda is the Chief Business Consultant for the Voice of Crypto, and founder of Elevate Higher Ltd.
Syed Rahman is an experienced Consultant. Investor and Speaker appearing on CH4 and the BBC as well as being selected for the Observer A list -1 the Top 40 Asian Achievers in the UK.
Next was Zee West, a serial founder. Currently championing Fintech for Good Picnic Bank, Valhalla Network Defi & Livetree in the Web3 Space. She has been working in tech since 2008 building inclusive communities for large brands from film to tech.
Sieng Van Tran, who has built and grown 4 art and music hubs across London known as Temple of Art and Music currently working with Dana Gillespie the british music legend on her 73rd album which was recorded ‘Live’ at the Temple of Art and Music and put it on the blockchain. It will be showcasing at the worlds largest tech, music and film festival SXSW in March 2023 platform will be opened up to more artists as a way of empowering all creators and all stages to fund, produce, release, sell and export their creativity globally.
Divya Prasanth, CEO & Co-founder of HQNFTs.xyz, a no-code Web3 platform, democratizing access to Blockchain for all. A global thought leader, keynote speaker, mentor and Nasdaq contributor on the topics of Web 3 and Blockchain, Divya operates at the cutting edge of technology, including Web3, to bring about awareness and education to the space.
Terence Ayuk Eben, a social impact entrepreneur and futurist with a mission to bridge the gap between Web2 & Web3. As founder of Never Fade Factory, NFT.Soho, ARCANO Agro and board member at ArtsectDAO community building circular economy is at the centre of business.
Anya Markitanova, an international economic law and policy for UN and WTO. Oliver Studd is a commercial banker at HSBC, then during his time supporting Hampshire Community Bank and working with the councils, Oliver envisaged a whole new banking system owned by the people. A banking system that exists to serve the community and small businesses – he founded Valhalla Network DAO. Within 8 months and after an oversubscribed seed round, he has won 2 pitch competitions, successfully raised over €7.5m, and is now close to closing the Series A.
