London, 22 August 2025 — At a time when artificial intelligence is reshaping how we create, think, and work, EAST2046 — London’s first tech-art festival spotlighting East and Southeast Asian perspectives — is setting a new benchmark for innovation. With a strong, execution-focused team and deep ties to leading tech companies, EAST2046 is not just imagining the future — it’s building it.
In a hands-on workshop led by WaytoAGI, China’s largest AI community platform, participants explored how AI tools like Capcut, Tripo 3D, Vidu and Dreamina are revolutionizing filmmaking. Guided by Yin Ying, a top evaluator of AI creative tools, artists, designers, and academics learned to conceptualize, script, and produce short films using AI-driven workflows.
A standout exercise simulated a real-world collaboration between a tourism firm and an ad agency, using AI to generate scripts, mood boards, and final edits. “AI streamlined the repetitive parts of the creative process, freeing up more space for imagination,” said 3D & visual content lead of EAST2046 Leo Lin.
Architect-turned-AI creative Jonathan Zhu added, “AI should amplify human creativity, not replace it. Our goal is to help people use these tools effectively and ethically.”

The second workshop featured Fellou, a Silicon Valley startup redefining how we interact with the web. Co-founded by Yang Xie, a Forbes U30 Asia honoree, Fellou’s agentic browser automates complex workflows and generates creative content — all while prioritizing user privacy.
Led by Dr Xiaoteng Ma, Research Lead and Head of Community at Fellou, and Ke Bao, founder of YDMD Studio, the session began with a playful twist: attendees transformed their bios into songs across genres like opera, R&B, and 80s rock. But the browser’s true power emerged in its ability to handle business planning, research synthesis, and more.
“With over 1 million users since launch, Fellou is gaining traction for its autonomous task handling and privacy-first design,” said Ma. Economics professor Imafidon summed it up: “If I took a train to Waterloo instead of walking, why wouldn’t I use an agentic browser instead of a traditional one?”
EAST2046 and Way to AGI both hope to empower more people with AI

EAST2046’s success lies in its ability to deliver — with a team that combines creative vision with operational excellence. The festival’s access to top-tier tech companies and emerging startups ensures that participants engage with the most relevant tools and ideas shaping tomorrow.
Festival director Dr Lois Liao explained, “We built EAST2046 as a bridge — between creativity and technology, between industries and cultures. It’s a space where ideas become prototypes, and where innovation meets execution.” Rather than asking whether AI will replace us, EAST2046 asks: How do we collaborate with it to unlock new possibilities? How do we create learning experiences where practitioners and business functions understand how AI utilities work for each other thereby starting to imagine how the latest technologies can be applied at the industrial scope? As a social enterprise, EAST2046 is looking to partner with organizations for more AI workshop delivery, hoping to make AI solutions more accessible for enterprises, institutions and the general public.
